We have had a fantastic week. Paul and Berni very kind hosts with a great

Very lucky in our choice of Gite, the setting is so restful and our hosts could
not have been nicer, the Langonaise restaurant in Langon who changed their menu
just for us, almost vegetarians, is well worth a visit.

Day trip to Bordeaux by train and tram to the centre enjoyed the hour-long open
top bus trip. Comfortable, clean accommodation, interesting area and best fun in
the pool ever, thanks Paul and Berni for all the advice and suggestions.

and Dad’s 4th time here but Zoë and my first, Zoë got very brown by
the pool. Went to some fantastic locations thanks to Paul’s map, Paul and Berni

Our second stay in Auros and we enjoyed ourselves just as much as last time. We
cycled along the canal cycle track and the former railway lines now superb cycle
tracks through the forest.
Paul and Berni were as usual a great help in supplying us with information about

Thanks for your kind hospitality we had a wonderful time, we recommend
the Bistro St Jean at Bazas, SUPERB if it’s good enough for Rick Stein it’s good
enough for us, Coyote bar in the village very friendly we felt most welcome
especially with the locals including Taz the dog.

Thank you for a wonderful holiday, we enjoyed the spacious gite beautiful
pool and gardens, dinner at the restaurant L’Absolu in the village is excellent
and great value for money. Re charged the batteries and ready to face a cold wet

Can’t keep us away! Had another fantastic holiday, if you
are lucky enough to be reading this you’ve found the best cottage in France! You
must try the restaurant in the village especially on Thursday for the soup. See

This is a great place with plenty of things to do for our age, your pool is
fantastic so clean and clear, the volleyball / badminton net and swing ball were
a great bonus; there is so much space to explore and kick a ball about.
